About the Role

As a working student, you support our team in applied research and the production of scientific deliverables for consulting and research projects. You help translate complex questions into testable hypotheses, select appropriate qualitative and quantitative methods, and produce clear, evidence-based written outputs. Your work spans economics, consumer and user behavior, market dynamics, and the use of artificial intelligence in research workflows. You contribute to data collection and analysis, literature and source validation, and the preparation of research reports, briefs, and presentations that meet high scientific standards.

What You Will Do

  • Conduct structured literature reviews on economics, artificial intelligence, consumer behavior, market dynamics, and similar fields

  • Support qualitative research, including interview guides, coding schemes, thematic analysis, and synthesis of findings

  • Support quantitative research, including dataset preparation, descriptive analysis, and basic modeling or forecasting tasks

  • Translate business and research questions into hypotheses, metrics, and research designs

  • Draft, revise, and proofread scientific texts, research reports, and method sections in German and English

  • Ensure reproducibility and quality standards through documentation of methods, assumptions, and sources

  • Create clear tables, charts, and research visualizations for reports and presentations

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts on project work, client deliverables, and publications

What You Bring

Required:

  • Current enrollment at a state-recognized university for the full duration of the working student employment

  • Strong interest in economics, market research, and artificial intelligence applications

  • Native or excellent German and very good English skills, written and spoken

  • First academic or practical experience with empirical work and research methods

  • Analytical mindset, structured working style, and strong attention to detail

  • High reliability, self-discipline, and ability to work independently and in a team

  • Confident use of GenAI tools and MS Office, especially Word and PowerPoint, and familiarity with professional online networking, especially LinkedIn

Preferred:

  • Experience with qualitative methods, such as interviews, focus groups, coding, and qualitative analysis software

  • Experience with quantitative methods, such as regression, time series, or survey analysis

  • Practical skills in Python or R, and familiarity with data handling and visualization

  • Knowledge of AI tools for research support, such as literature discovery, summarization, or text analysis workflows

  • Experience with citation standards and reference management tools

  • Experience in searching, accessing, and working with scientific databases and academic literature repositories
